So here is the benefit of flooring resins (epoxies and polyurethanes): Resins are resistant to all types of motor vehicles fluids, such as engine oil, coolant, brake and power steering fluid. Resins will not crack when hit by a heavy tools. They are also chemically resistant. Resins are harder to stain with engine oil, coolant, brake fluid or other fluids.

Resins themselves don’t constitute a structural layer (the resin coating is only 3-6 mm thick). So there must be a concrete slab beneath . Resins can be applied on a fresh, well cured concrete slab and they can also be applied on an old or existing slab.
